Film Club is an opportunity to watch environmentally themed documentaries and discuss them with others.  There will be a mixture of online events and in person events at 34 John Street

An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power

 

Al Gore's 2017 sequel to his Inconvenient Truth documentary of 2007 looks at how the stakes for the climate crisis have got higher in the last decade but also how some solutions are now within our grasp.

Thursday 23rd September online

In Our Hands - Seeding Change

 

This one hour documentary takes you on a journey across the fields of Britain, past the orchards of forgotten fruit and through the fields of ancient grains. The film reveals both the wisdom of the old and the innovations of the young, who are bringing back the worm to the soil, the ‘culture’  to ‘agriculture,’ and the flavour to the tomato!

The Age of Stupid

 

The Age of Stupid is a 90-minute film about climate change, set in the future. Oscar-nominated Pete Postlethwaite stars as a man living alone in the devastated world of 2055, looking back.
